A new version of mEMBOSS was released this summer. It is a java based interface for all the packages of EMBOSS.

To use the mEMBOSS package you will need to install Java and Virtual C libraries. You can get java from e.g. java.com and the libraries from either Microsoft or the EMBOSS ftp-archive. mEMBOSS and vcredist_x86.exe are available in:
