Data Center presentation

Submitted by Peter Jenkins posted on 2011-08-23 16:39 last modified 2011-08-23 16:39

I recently presented a summary of current data center trends and technology to an audience from Jyväskulä University. I wanted to share these slides with the audience because they include some useful links for further information. I'm sure others will find these slides useful.

The topics covered include:

  • What is driving data center innovation?
    • Web scale computing
    • Economics and Metrics
  • Air cooling trends
  • Separating hot and cold air
  • Liquid cooling
  • Modular buildings/containers

It was a great pleasure to visit CSC and hear and see interesting presentations + the actual data center. All students gave positive feedback - so thanks again!

Best,

Jouni from JAMK University of Applied Sciences

Thanks for the insights
