Collaboration projects in 2004-2006

  • YeastBASE @ CSC for microarray reearchers was launched in June 2006.  The SyMbolic project, funded by Tekes, brought together data scattered in different sources and built the YeastBASE @ CSC for modeling and other data analysis purposes. 
  • SOMA2 offers an easy-to-use modelling environment for computational drug discovery. The system includes interfaces to several scientific programs which are easily configured and automatically executed in the SOMA2 environment.  The Soma project was part of the TEKES funded Drug 2000 technology program.   • M-grid (Material Sciences Grid)  is a distributed computing environment among eight Finnish universities and research centres, and CSC.   • ENACTS network found out that the availability of computing power and developed solutions for data storage are crucial to European HPC users also in the future. The user community is growing and new areas of research are likely to become computing intensive. Read more
  • 6NET built an IPv6-based pilot network connecting sixteen European countries in order to gain experience of IPv6 deployment and migration from existing IPv4-based networks. 6NET site
