Registration has expired
Tavoitteena on tutustua lakiasioihin, jotka on huomioitava sosiaalisen median palveluita käyttöön otettaessa.
23.09.2014 - 25.09.2014
NORDUnet 2014 Conference in Uppsala
NORDUnet is happy to welcome you to historic Uppsala and Uppsala University. The NORDUnet conference brings together networking and cloud computing experts and users from the Nordic and global communities, and offers participants a great opportunity to be inspired and share knowledge about network use and development.
23.09.2014 09:00 - 25.09.2014 17:00
Introduction to Parallel Programming
The course introduces the basics of parallel programming with the message passing interface (MPI) and OpenMP paradigms. The course consists of lectures and hands-on exercises on parallel programming.
10.10.2014 09:00 - 16:00
The use of crystallographic data in drug discovery and molecular design applications
Registration by 03.10.2014 23:00.
The workshop will familiarise the participants to the Cambridge Structural Database System via presentations and hands-on excercises with additional emphasis on the "Discovery Chemistry" for life science applications.
20.10.2014 09:45 - 21.10.2014 17:00
Introduction to Linux and Using CSC Environment Efficiently
Registration by 14.10.2014 16:00.
The first day of the workshop will cover the very basics of Unix/Linux use. No previous Linux skills are needed. The second day describes accessing and using CSC's services efficiently. The first day serves as an introduction to those who are new to Linux. Both days have extended hands-on exercises.
22.10.2014 09:00 - 16:15
CSC Pouta Cloud Course
Registration by 14.10.2014 16:00.
Course will give a practical guide on how to use released 14.04.2014 CSC Cloud service called Pouta. The Pouta cloud service is meant for all fields of science. It allows users to solve computational challenges which have not previously been possible to run on CSC's other systems. Some examples where the Pouta cloud service is especially suitable are research projects in requiring complex application stacks, or applications with a browser-based user interfaces. Course will consist of extended hands-on exercises.
28.10.2014 09:00 - 30.10.2014 17:00
Introduction to Accelerators
This course will give a short introduction to NVidia GPUs and Intel Xeon Phis, which are currently the two most popular accelerator architectures. After a short hardware overview we will present two simple pragma-based programming models for accelerators: offloading for Xeon Phi systems and OpenACC for GPUs. Some basic performance considerations and limitations due to the memory traffic between the host and accelerator will be discussed. Last part of the course will give a short one-day introduction to the lower level approach for GPU programming using CUDA.
04.11.2014 09:00 - 06.11.2014 17:00
Cray XC workshop
Learn how to squeeze the most out of a Cray supercomputer! This three day workshop will give attendees the knowledge required to understand the most optimal way to port, optimize and execute applications on Cray XC30 systems, such as CSC's "Sisu". The workshop is a mixture of lectures and practical hands-on sessions. Some example exercises will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring along their own applications to the workshop. Although the workshop specifically targets the Cray architecture and programming environment, many of the topics covered are generally useful also on other architectures.
11.11.2014 09:00 - 13.11.2014 17:00
Advanced Parallel Programming
This workshop goes to more advanced topics and techniques in high-performance computing. Parallel algorithms, more advanced topics in message-passing interface (MPI), parallel tools and numerical libraries, parallel I/O, as well as shared-memory parallelization techniques along (with OpenMP) and combined with MPI are discussed and exemplified.
12.11.2014 - 13.11.2014
NordiCloud 2014: 3rd Nordic Symposium on Cloud Computing & Internet Technologies
The Nordic Symposium on Cloud Computing and Internet Technologies (NordiCloud) aims to provide a forum for enhancing collaboration between industrial and academic communities from Nordic and Baltic countries in the area of cloud computing and Internet technologies.
