Introduction to parallel programming with MPI

The course introduces the basics of parallel programming with the message passing interface (MPI) paradigm. The course consists of lectures and hands-on exercises on parallel programming. After the course the participants should be able to write simple parallel programs and parallelize existing programs with the basic features of MPI. No prior knowledge on parallel programming is required, but the participants are assumed to have working knowledge of either Fortran 90 or C programming languages.

As there are less computers than seats in the training facilities, participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop if possible.
