Gnomis meeting 16th April 2007
Gnomis (Greater Nordic Middleware Symposium) ia a gathering of academic network professionals who develop and use identity management systems. The 9th Gnomis meeting takes place in Helsinki and will be adjacent to Terena's EuroCAMP.

DK-AAI project aims at establishing a SAML based federation during 2007 - Finland (Mikael Linden)
Haka federation, running SAML1.1/Shibboleth, covers currently 66% of Finnish higher education. - Norway (Ingrid Melve)
Feide federation, running Moria2 and SAML2.0, is expanding from higher education to schools. - Sweden (Torbjörn Wiberg)
SWAMID federation has been established to serve Swedish higher education.

A project founded by ministry of Finance is going to establish an infrastructure for cross-sectoral authentication and authorisation of civil servants
13.50 Monitoring, reporting and configuration management of a federation (Mika Suvanto, CSC)
AAIeye tool is being developed as part of GN2/JRA5 for making sure that all IdPs and SPs are up, for gathering login statistics and for detecting config errors

Pifu aims to standardize a XML format for provisioning. The work
includes application vendors, high schools, universities,
administrative system operators, Feide etc

Tampere polytechnic's Intranet portal, rolled out in January, makes heavy use of Sun's IdM suite (Access Manager, Sunone LDAP etc) for personalised services.
16.00 Internet bank's in initial authentication in campus (David Simonsen, Mikael Linden, etc)
How to use authentication service provided by Internet banks to bootsrap identities in campus.
Evening programme
18.30-24.00 Sauna evening in Lauttasaari (5 km from the city)
- use the bus line 20 to get to Lauttasaari, the bus leaves from Erottaja, next to hotel Klaus K
- use the bus line 20 or line 20N to get back
- traditional wood-heated sauna. (however, something luxury: water comes from a tap)
- separate compartments for men and women
- nice view to the Baltic Sea (bring your own swimsuit)
- cosy livingroom for spending time
- simple warm dinner (potato casserole with ham) and soft drinks
