Kimmo Koski continues as vice-chair of PRACE Council

Kimmo Koski, Managing Director of CSC, was chosen as vice-chair of PRACE Council, for a second two-year period. Catherine Riviere from GENCI (Grand Equipement National de Calcul Intensif), France, was chosen to the position of Council chair.
PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe) is a pan-European HPC Research Infrastructure managed as a single European entity. Through the PRACE services, European scientists and technologists can use world-leading supercomputers, the capacity of which is equal or superior to those in the USA or Japan. The PRACE Council is the highest executive organ of the research infrastructure.
