CSC's services

CSC’s core services can be divided into three groups:

1. Computing services

2. Software services

3. Data storage services

These services are supplemented with a support service provided by CSC’s Service Desk or by a contract on CSC's consulting services.

Contracts on the use of CSC services

To be able to use CSC’s services, a Customer Contract is first made. There are two main types of Customer Contracts:

1. User Contract

2. Project Contract

User Contract includes one user account and a dedicated amount of cpu-time and access to the Scientist's Interface. The client is invoiced in periods of 12 months. This is the most common contract used by small clients and, for example, by commercial research projects at research institutes and universities.

The customer can also sign a Project Contract for more extensive use of the services. Project Contracts are made for a 12-month, and it includes four user accounts, with a larger quota of cpu-time and disk space.

In addition to the contract, every service user must fill in an individual Commercial User Account Application Form.

Consultative services

Every year CSC performs several research and consultation projects for its customers. These are agreed in case-specific Service Contracts, in which details such as scope and amount of work, schedules, and staff, are specified.
