On Funet and other research community network ethics

Due to the nature of the matter, this information is being provided primarily in Finnish.

As a summary, CSC asks you to take into consideration, that when using the Funet network (or other networks), both

• common Internet etiquette,
• any applicable AUP's or Terms of Use, and, ultimately,
• the Finnish (or other national) legislation

set guidelines to acceptable use of the network and resources available in or via the network.

CSC wants to emphasise that, for instance, disturbing data communications, or distributing copyrighted material without proper permission are criminal acts according to Finnish legislation.
