Funet Newsread

Funet organizations willing to have access to Funet Newsread service newsread.funet.fi are free to contact Funet newsmaster newsmaster@funet.fi and ask for it. The current policy is that the estimated amount of news traffic between organization and Funet must stay acceptable.

News-clients

Traditional news-clients for Unix/Linux are, for example, slrn, emacs gnus and pan. Most  web-browsers also have built-in news-clients.
