Description of the service

CSC offers all the communities and companies a national H.323 reachability service. All users are given a separate identifier, GDS number. This number is used for locating the users. The customer organizations are charged for using the service.

As the existing telephone numbers are preferred in registration the end users will have almost identical GDS and telephone numbers.

The service removes the need to memorize the IP addresses of other users. In this respect it reminds the Internet domain name service.

Using the service

Please, apply the service with a separate form which is included in the application form. The acceptance of the request requires e.g. the existence of own gatekeeper infrastructure.
