Haka is based on SAML
Haka federation is built on SAML. Majority of Haka members are utilizing Shibboleth, a standards-based open source middleware software. Haka will be SAML2 compatible in accordance with the released schedule. Haka federation operator CSC maintains information on federation members and partners. This information is published in Haka metadata. End user attributes applied in Haka are defined in FunetEduPerson schema.
Haka SAML 2.0 profile ties the characteristics of SAML2-specification that will be used in Haka federation. This profile is based on definition of SAML2int.org ver 0.1, among others Shibboleth 2 -servers fulfil this profile.
Certificates used in Haka federation must be provided by Sonera Class2 CA or Terena TCS CA.
