Haka federation metadata is managed at Resource Registry (https://talli.funet.fi/rr) and this application was upgraded 2nd of December 2010.

The metadata generated by new version of Resource Registry differs slightly from the current production metadata. Although we do not expect compatibility problems, the new metadata is available for testing purposes. System administrators are encouraged to test the new metadata and to report any problems to haka@csc.fi.

Note: If you do not want to test anything, you do not need to do anything yet! All URLs and configurations will remain the same. There will be certificate related changes in the near future and that will be announced at haka-tek mailing list well beforehand.

Testing the new metadata

New metadata is available https://haka.funet.fi/fed2/haka-metadata.xml. It contains exactly the same information as production Haka metadata.

As a new feature, validUntil parameter is introduced. ValidUntil states that the metadata document is valid only until the time indicated. This value will be 28 days now, and may be shortened in the future.

The new metadata has been signed with different certificate, which can be downloaded from https://haka.funet.fi/certs/haka-sign.crt.pem.
