Glass tube heated by a travelling torch

This simulation demonstrates a MCVD (Modiefied Chemical Vapor Deposition) of synthethic glass tubes. A travelling heater heats up the tube while it rotates gradually. Inside the tube a flux of chemically reactive species deposit at the hot walls.

In the simulation the rotation is neglected and the temperature is assumed to be axisymmetric. The torch is modeled by a time dependent external temperature of Gaussian shape.

Animation of 200 seconds starting from uniform temperature of 500 degrees animation. Temperatures at different stages
