Nozzle flow charasteristcs are computed for the following type of nozzle (shown on right) using equations for incompressible flow (Navier-Stokes) and free surface with constant flux. The results are used to determine:
- Velocity relaxation distance (distance where flow velocity is uniform enough)
- Jet contraction (radius of the jet as a function of distance from nozzle)
- Radial velocity profile at nozzle exit
- Axial velocity profile at nozzle exit
