Elmer group in LinkedIn

There is a now group "Elmer finite element software" in the LinkedIn professional network:

www.linkedin.com -> Groups -> Search "Elmer"

The group is open to all users and followers of Elmer finite element software. The intent of the group is not to replace the discussion forum at http://www.elmerfem.org/forum. The linkedin group could include more oriented towards meta level discussions. It will also be an alternative forum where news on software updates, courses and other events are posted.

Server for Elmer user community

The discussion forum and wiki pages of Elmer are hosted on a server at http://www.elmerfem.org

The statistics of the server trafic during the last year (as of December 2010) show visits from 2976 cities and 121 countries (all in all, there are about 195 countries).

Modern graphical user interface: ElmerGUI

Since spring 2008 Elmer has a new graphical user interface called ElmerGUI. See a demonstration of it in an animation (wmv, mkv). ElmerGUI is available in new Windows installers and of course also as source files from sourceforge:
