How to get to Helsinki

BY AIR: Fly directly to/from the Helsinki-Vantaa International Airpor

Direct flights from many European cities to Helsinki are available. Please see Helsinki-Vantaa Airport

You can use different transport options to get to the Center of Helsinki from the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport:
            FINNAIR BUS (PDF) - 35 min / one way ticket is EUR 5.90/person
            BUS 615 - 40 min / one way regional ticket is EUR 4.00/person
            TAXI - appr. 30 min / taxi fare EUR 30-40.00

All taxi and bus stops are located right outside the Arrivals Halls of the terminals.

BY AIR:  Fly to/from Tampere International Airport with connection to Helsinki

There are other flights from European countries to Tampere, as well as flight domestic connections from the Tampere airport to the Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport.

Tampere-Pirkkala has now is the third-busiest airport in Finland, where:
            FINNAIR / FINNCOM operate their flights to/from Helsinki
            BLUE1 - to/from Stockholm
            RYANAIR has very inexpensive flights to/from several European countries
            WINGO operates route Turku-Tampere-Pirkkala-Oulu.

BY FERRY

A regular ferry connection is to/from Stockholm, Tallinn, Travemünde and Rostock.

BY RAIL / in Finland

Another option to get to Helsinki is using a train connection to/from Helsinki.
For example, the journey from Tampere to Helsinki by train will take approximately two hours with one way ticket (2d class) by EUR 26.90.
