The Vuori User's Guide presents CSC's HP Cluster Platform 4000BL ProLiant cluster system. Vuori has 272 computing nodes with two six-core AMD 2.6 GHz Opteron processors (Instanbul) in each and thus 3264 in total. In two login nodes there are two six-core AMD 2.4 GHz Opteron processors (Instanbul) in each. In 128 computing nodes (n1 - n128) there is 16 GB of memory (1.33 GB/core) and in 144 computing nodes (n129 - n272) 32 GB of memory (2.66 GB/core). Vuori can be used for running both medium-size parallel as well as serial codes. Nodes n241 - n272 are dedicated to the Corander research group. The peak performance is 34 Tflop/s and the sustained perfomance in Linpack is up to 27 Tflop/s (272 nodes).
This web guide introduces the computing and program development environment of Vuori. The system was opened for CSC customers on the 30th March 2010.
