The user-specific metawork directory is indicated by the environment variable, $METAWRK.
Unlike the local work directory ($WRKDIR), the metawork directory is visible on all login nodes. However you can not use the metawork directory in your batch jobs. You should use $WRKDIR instead. See machine specific User guides for more information. Files are retained there for 30 days after the last time the file has been opened. Backup copies are not taken of the contents of the metawork directory.
