PDB (Protein Data Bank) contains 3D structures of biological macromolecules. PDB is maintained by the RCSB consortium (Research Collaboratory for Structural Bioinformatics) consisting of Rutgers University, San Diego Supercomputer Center, and National Institute of Standards and Technology. In addition to proteins, PDB contains structures for carbohydrates, nucleic acids and protein-nucleic acid complexes. The majority of structures have been determined by experimentally by X-ray crystallography or NMR. The structures have been verified and annotated by curators.
At CSC you can use PDB with Discovery Studio, Maestro, BLAST, and EMBOSS.
