Seaview

Version

Seaview 3.2 is available in Hippu

Description

Seaview, a biological sequence editor, is available Hippu. It has been written by Manolo Gouy.

Seaview can read and write many of the most commonly used sequence formats, and the built-in Clustal, Muscle or dot-plot can be used for aligning the sequencies. However, Seaview works best as a sequence editor, not as an alignment tool.

Usage

Seaview starts in Hippu with the commands

module load seaview
seaview

A working X-windows environment is required on the user's workstation.

Manual and support information
