Genomatix Software Suite is a set of databases and web-based tools for analysis of transcriptional regulatory regions. It also contains a pathway analysis module. Finnish academic researchers have the possibility to buy full access to Genomatix Software Suite via licensing coordinated by CSC (please see the instructions below).

Genomatix Software Suite contains the following functionalities:

• promoter retrieval using Genomatix proprietary promoter database
  
• promoter prediction
• detection of transcription factor binding sites using Genomatix proprietary matrix database
  
• prediction of composite regulatory elements, frameworks
• database search with own frameworks or composite elements from Genomatix proprietary model database
  
• optimization of framework models
• construction of new matrices
  
• multiple alignment
  
• analysis of gene relationships using literature, GO-terms and sequence analysis in an integrated fashion

Registration for full access

CSC has obtained a national license for Genomatix Software Suite for Finnish academic researchers for the period 1.12.2011-30.11.2012.

The CSC license includes the following modules:

• Eldorado/Gene2Promoter
• GEMS Launcher
• GePS
  
• RegionMiner

The license works on floating license bases, which means that only a certain number of people from the pool of registered users are allowed to log in simultaneously. Access to Genomatix Software Suite under CSC's licensing costs 1250 euros/user (VAT 0%) for the full license period. If joining in the middle of the period, the cost is 105€/user/remaining month (VAT 0%).

Joining:

• together with your group leader, please complete two copies of the registration form. Please note that the conditions of usage are described in more detail in the Appendix I.
• sign both originals and send them to Ari-Matti Sarén, CSC - Tieteen tietotekniikan keskus Oy, PO Box 405, 02101 Espoo
• CSC will sign the forms and send one of them back to the group.
• user account will be opened as soon as we receive the registration form. Users will be notified about this by email
• CSC will send a bill to the research group within two weeks of opening the user accounts.
