0. Kemian kursseja monipuolisesti tarjolla!

Oman yliopiston opetustarjontaa on helppo täydentää CSC:n
järjestämillä kursseilla ja työpajoilla. Tällä kertaa tarjolla on mm.
Beilstein Crossfire, Sybyl ja Gromacs workshopit. Kurssien hinta on 
pyritty pitämään akateemisille osallistujille mahdollisimman matalana. 
Samalla voit tutustua muihin suomalaisiin ja kansainvälisiin alan 
toimijoihin. Esimerkiksi tämän syksyn PERCH NMR-kurssilla oli 
osallistujia Norjasta  ja Tsekeistä sekä ensi vuoden Coarse Graining 
Workshopiin on jo ilmoittatunut osallistujia Uruguaysta ja Japanista.

1.1 Introduction to parallel programming 1.-2.12.2008 at CSC

There are still some places left for the course.

The course introduces the basics of parallel programing with the message
passing interface (MPI) paradigm. The course consists of lectures and 
hands-on exercises on parallel programming. After the course the 
participants should be able to write simple parallel programs and 
parallelize existing programs with the basic features of MPI. No prior 
knowledge of parallel programming is required, but the participants 
are assumed to have working knowledge of either Fortran 90 or C
programming languages.

Please feel free the distribute the announcement to possible interested 
colleagues.

There will be also a follow-up course "Advanced parallel programming" in
23.-25.2.2009, more information about this course follows later.

1.2 CrossFire-tietokantahauilla tehoa kemian tutkimukseen 15.12.2008

Kurssilla kuulet uusimmat tiedot CrossFire:sta ja sen käytöstä. 
Osallistujien tarpeiden mukaan kurssilla käydään läpi miten tietokannat 
saadaan toimimaan omalla koneella ja miten tietoa haetaan. Kurssilla 
käsitellään yhdiste- ja reaktiohakujen tekoa käytännön esimerkkien
kautta.

With Tripos 13.-14.1.2009

This training course for Sybyl users will cover the topics: 
-Rapid 3D-QSAR and Lead Optimization with the Topomer Technology 
-De-novo Design

1.4 Coarse Graining Workshop 28.-30.1.2009

Some of the leading developers of the field present the fundamentals 
of coarse graining, applications to lipids and proteins accompanied
by hands-on exercises. The first round of registration ends by the
end of November, but if free places remain, registration continues.

Gromacs on monipuolinen ja tehokas molekyylidynamiikkaohjelmisto.
Uusimman version saat käyttöön sekä Louhella että Murskalla:
