Earth Science explores interactions among the major components of the Earth system--continents, oceans, atmosphere, ice, and life.  The disciplines include geophysics, geology, geography, seismology and meteorology. The CSC expert services on earth sciences deal with computing applications including modelling (coupled climate models and multiphysics models like ELMER), visualisation, data processing, GIS- databases and GIS-systems.
