CSC's GIS Services provides the geospatial data and GIS software for Finnish Universities and Polytechnics.  CSC also  aims in collaboration with Universities and Polytechnics to promote the knowledge and usage as well as the research and education of geospatial data.

Geospatial datasets are available in PaITuli geospatial data service, where students, researchers and employees of Finnish Universities and Polytechnics are able to study and  download datasets. The Geospatial datasets available in PaITuli can be used for research and education purposes. More information about the service can be found from the pages of "PaITuli".

GIS software that are available for Finnish Universities and Polytechnics is handled through two different software consortiums. At the moment the GIS software available are:

• ArcGIS
  
• MapInfo
  

The Universities and Polytechnics that belong to either software consortium can use the GIS software with supported price. More information about the consortiums can be found from the pages of "Software consortioums"
