netcdf
Common data format for array oriented scientific data.
Description
Usage
NetCDF environment is initialized with command
module load netcdf
Module sets environment variables NETCDF_INCLUDES and NETCDF_LIBS, which can be used during compilation and linking of programs using NetCDF library. The choice of the compiler suite (pgi|pathscale|gnu) specific C++, F77 and F90 APIs is based on the currently loaded programming environment module PrgEnv-*. Also, the module adds (front-end) utilities ncgen and ncdump, and netcdf man pages to correspongding search paths.
Install
System wide install is available as documented above, and usually there should be no reason to make a separate build. The functional install documentation for the system wide install is in the makefile netcdf-3.6.2.makefile. If necessary, local, possibly modified, "user versions" can be created by download the makefile in louhi editing couple of paths in the begining fo the makefile and saying:
make -f netcdf-3.6.2.makefile
Testing
A simple test matrix is available in file netcdf-3.6.2-test.bash.Field of science:
