Description

Tripos is a leading provider of discovery research software and services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other life sciences companies worldwide. SYBYL is a comprehensive computational tool kit for molecular design and analysis, with a special focus on the creation of new chemical entities. SYBYL provides essential construction and analysis tools for both organic and inorganic molecular structures.

License

CSC has obtained the Tripos/Sybyl software together with seven different departments in Finnish Universities (Tripos/Sybyl consortium). The consortium has been formed for the year 2010-2012. The software license is for consortium members only who pay a yearly fee. However, new members can be accepted, please contact CSC's Helpdesk, helpdesk (ät) csc.fi.

Usage

For local installation download the newest version SYBYL-X from http://www.tripos.com/download. Sybyl  is also available on Hippu, Murska and Vuori. On Hippu you can use it in connection to CCDC software (Superstar, Isostar) and on Murska you can run e.g. parallel batch jobs. On all servers Sybyl is initialized with

module load sybyl-x/version

Please follow the machine specific instructions displayed by the module command!

Training
