CSC supports the transformation of learning and a teacher’s identity

This year's national Peda-forum event, which focuses on teaching development and research in higher education pedagogy, will be held on 14–16 August in Turku. It will be organized by the University of Turku together with the city's other higher education institutions, or Åbo Akademi University, Turku University of Applied Sciences and Novia University of Applied Sciences. The overarching theme of this event will be the transformation of a teacher's identity from the perspective of the future vision for education. Among other things, this theme will be approached from the viewpoints of digitalization, learning environments and guidance work.

Each day will begin with networking meetings, followed by keynote talks and parallel sessions and concluding with a panel discussion. To browse the Peda-forum's program, visit here.

CSC promotes the creation of interoperable solutions in the field of digitalized teaching and future learning environments and builds services for learners, teachers and education providers. CSC participates in the program of this year's Peda-forum in many ways.

We will organize a meeting for the System Administrators of higher education institutions making up the Exam Consortium in connection with the event. Efforts to develop electronic assessment are also part of the DigiCampus project, which is building a modern and interoperable digital learning environment for higher education institutions.

During the Peda-forum event, a meeting will additionally be held for the contact persons of Arvo, the education administration's impact information service, as well as a workshop on using student feedback in curriculum work. These meetings will be organized in cooperation with the network of Kandipalaute contact persons. The primary objective is to share good practices for student feedback processes, find a common will and concrete means for improving response rates, and to learn to use the results more efficiently.

We invite you to come and meet CSC representatives at our stand, familiarize yourself with our services for education and teaching, and talk to us about how we can work together to support learning and a teacher's identity in the future!
