CSC's cloud services consists of cPouta, ePouta, Rahti and Notebook services. cPouta is a Community Cloud Service that provides virtual machines and storage for many tasks. ePouta is a Virtual Private Cloud Service especially meant for processing sensitive data. In ePouta security is taken to a whole new level. Data in cPouta and ePouta is stored in Finland. Allas is a common data management solution serving the entire CSC computing environment. Allas is for storing, sharing and analysing data. Allas is based on CEPH object storage technology and has a storage capacity of 12 Petabytes.Read More »
CSC's data center in Kajaani is located in Renforsin Ranta business park, which has been set up on the former premises of Kajaani mill. The electricity grid is very reliable and fast data communications networks are designed for HPC. CSC Kajaani data center is home to Finland's national data computing and data management environment and LUMI, one of the EuroHPC world-class supercomputers. LUMI, one of EuroHPC's world-class supercomputers, will start to operations in CSC's data center in Kajaani, Finland in next year (2021). LUMI will be one of the world’s fastest computer systems and one of the most advanced platforms artificial intelligence. This investment will make CSC’s data center one of the world’s largest players in the field of high-performance computing.
