The aim of the course is to familiarize participants with spatial statistics with R. The course covers following topics:
 
* Spatial autocorrelation
* Spatial regression models
* Spatial clustering
* Spatial interpolation
* Maps with R
 
The course consists of a flexible combination of lectures, examples and exercises with an emphasis on hands-on experience.
 

Prerequisistes:

  • Basics of geoinformatics and geostatistics
  • Basic use of R, no earlier experience with R spatial packages is needed.

 

Compared to last years Spatial modelling with R and QGIS workshop this is a totally different course, based on a similar course at UEF. During this course the spatial analysis tools for R are covered in detail. So if you took part last year you are welcome back!
