This training course is aimed at those who have knowledge of structural mechanics and of the finite element method and prior experience with ANSYS Mechanical is required.

ANSYS Mechanical is a general platform for analysis that can greatly simplify and speed up many of the tasks involved in a finite element analysis such as dealing with assemblies, meshing complex CAD geometries and studying multiple scenarios.

This course provides solutions for nonlinear phenomena such as large deflection, nonlinear materials and advanced contact.

The course is only for personnel and students from Finnish universities and polytechnics.

The course is cancelled.  Adequate number of participants were not reached.

Program

•             Overview of nonlinear analysis in ANSYS

•             Nonlinear contact including friction

•             Plasticity

•             Linear buckling

•             Diagnostics tools for convergence

•             Large deflection

•             Contact diagnostic tools

•             Miscellaneous recommendations and options

•             Dealing with divergence

•             General performance hints
