In this course the fundamental concepts of Kubernetes based container orchestrators are illustrated using the Rahti platform from a practical viewpoint. We shall focus on the users point of view for using rahti and aspects important for running and maintaining containerized workloads are emphasized.
After this course, the participant is able to execute, construct and maintain container workloads in Rahti. They will also learn good practices for making their workloads highly available and/or automatically scalable.
No previous knowledge on cloud computing nor containers are required. Knowing what containers are is a benefit but is not required to participate this course.
A modest amount of familiarity with Linux is expected and for some of the exercises a Github account is required.
Optionally, participant may attend Pouta Cloud Computing Course a day earlier to brush up their cloud computing basics & know about CSC's Pouta IaaS clouds.
