The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC) aims to create a world-class computing and data management research infrastructure in Europe. LUMI is one of the three European leadership supercomputers and it will be located in CSC's data center in Kajaani.
LUMI will be one of the world's best-known scientific instruments and leading platforms for artificial intelligence for the lifespan of 2021–2026. LUMI and EuroHPC´s research programmes will also open up new opportunities for collaboration between universities, universities of applied sciences, research institutions and private sector.

What is LUMI?
European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC) has set the target to create a world-class supercomputing and data management infrastructure in Europe. LUMI is one of the three European flagship supercomputers and it will start its operations in CSC's data center in Kajaani, Finland next year.
Ten European countries have invested in LUMI together with EuroHPC Joint Undertaking. The investment will add significant value to research, employment and competitiveness in Finland and Europe. LUMI will be one of the world's best-known scientific instruments and leading platforms for artificial intelligence for the lifespan of 2021–2026.
